It was a beautiful day and a wonderful time was had by all.The Grade 8s did a great job constructing their pots, and a lot of effort was put into the final decoration.Students learned about decorating techniques from various parts of Japan, and this year the shell pattern from Kyushu was the most popular. The pots also featured traditional cord markings from Honshu, as well as ‘kushigaki’ line markings found on ancient pottery from Ishikawa. The Grade 8s did a great job and their work was exhibited at the Christmas Fiesta held on December 10th.
